Hope for the Time we Live In!

“But realize this, that in the last days perilous times will come. For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good, treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power; Avoid such men as these.” 2 Timothy 3:1-5

Webster's definition for "perilous" is dangerous, full of grave risk, hazardous. The Bible uses it in Matthew 8:28 to describe the two possessed men that were at the tombs. I think we get the message! As bad as it gets! These are the days we live in, as you read the scripture above we realize that these things are actually happening. When a person denies God and all He stands for, they are on a path of total destruction. The enemy of our soul is on a rampage and we must not put our head in the sands of denial. My heart is so heavy, and words are hard for me to express the urgency of the times we live in. Faith in God is the only way we will make it through these times. This is a truth you must hide in your heart and meditate on it. We have promises in Gods word that He will never leave us or forsake us. He loves us with an unfailing love. In dangerous times we can trust and believe that God will take care of us. We need to stay focused, don't look to the left or to the right, but just look to Him! I cannot stress this enough, please pay attention to what is going on, ask God for a discerning spirit, know where you stand, recognize your enemy and get ready for battle. In Ephesians 6:10-17. You will read about putting on the Armour of God. Don't be afraid, the victory is ours! The righteous (that's you) will be delivered by faith.
