Isaiah 53:4 (The Message)
But the fact is, it was our pains he carried—
our disfigurements, all the things wrong with us.
We thought he brought it on himself,
that God was punishing him for his own failures.
But it was our sins that did that to him,
that ripped and tore and crushed him—our sins!
He took the punishment, and that made us whole.
Through his bruises we get healed.
Do you see this picture in your mind? It just broke my heart as I read of how Jesus suffered and died for me and you. We don't like to think of things that are to explicit, and as far as violence is rated this would be a "R". But because of what He did for us, we can live. We are saved from the awful fate of death, separated forever from God. Space and time will not allow all that God did for us when He sent His Son to take our place. Sometimes we need to remember and be so thankful, living our life according to His will. His Word is our road map, read it and you will know what His plans are for you. Bless you!
