Don't Give Up!

Job 17:11 (New International Version)

11. My days have passed, my plans are shattered,
and so are the desires of my heart.

Just one of the many expressions from Job. Utterly cast down and full of despair with no hope for tomorrow. It did look like at the time, it was over with for him. But, he couldn't see or know what all was going on. He didn't know that very soon, he would be restored! Blessing upon blessing for him and his family. Even his friends would have to repent to him for their negative behavior. Poor Job, it did look hopeless to him, and there are times it seems hopeless for us to. We to experience heartaches to heartbreaks, and we get weak and ask God, "where are you in all this", what is going on? I believe Job and David just to name a few, poured out their heart to God, "poured out" being the key here. Only when we are empty or half empty, can God pour into us. We must remember "this to shall pass". We must not give up our hope and trust in God, He will never give up on us. He loves us and cares for us more than we can imagine. I pray for you this special Lords Day, that you would look to Him, don't be discouraged, and above all. Don't give up!

Just Live Like It!

Amos 5:14-15 (The Message)

14.Seek good and not evil—
and live!
You talk about God, the God-of-the-Angel-Armies,
being your best friend.
Well, live like it,
and maybe it will happen.

15.Hate evil and love good,
then work it out in the public square.
Maybe God, the God-of-the-Angel-Armies,
will notice your remnant and be gracious.

Have you ever had a "best" friend? I am talking about one who loves and prays for you, but will also make you be accountable. A friend that you can talk to about anything, and they won't think you are awful or weird? I am so thankful that at different times in my life, the Lord has blessed me with such a person. I remember one time I called ______ about a crisis I had, it didn't take her but just a few minutes to get me back on track. I never took offense, I was just thankful she told me the truth. (The truth always sets us free). I remember another time in my life later on, when I could have made a wrong decision and it would have affected lots of people. She lovingly, but strongly got on my case and told me what I already knew in my heart. Thank God for friends that really love and pray for you. As you read the scriptures above meditate on the fact that Jesus is our best friend, He is always there for us and loves us like no one else can. A relationship is what Jesus desires from us, we must love Him and live like we do, seek good and then as it says "we will live".
Be encouraged in Him and have a blessed day Sister!
