There is Hope!

Lamentations 3:24-26 (New Living Translation)

24. I say to myself, “The Lord is my inheritance;
therefore, I will hope in him!”

25. The Lord is good to those who depend on him,
to those who search for him.
26. So it is good to wait quietly
for salvation from the Lord.

What happens to a person that doesn't have any hope, in this case a teenager? Is there a way to know when they are having some serious issues? In one of my counseling units, we are studying on this very subject. And I can tell you it just breaks my heart, there are so many young people that are already sick of living. They feel trapped like being in a room without doors or windows, with no hope of a way out. It is very disturbing and it is a very real problem in our world today. It is so very important to learn this warning signs, don't ever ignore a young person if they make a statement about committing suicide. We will be attending a conference at a local church this week to learn more about this very troubling situation. Does your church have a ministry that reaches out to teens? There is a need like never before and there are counselors and teachers that are trained to know what to look for. We have to hope in our Lord, and then we have to reach out to this generation. Thank you for listening to my heart! Lets just be aware and really seek the Lord about this. We probably all have family or friends that have teenagers, and they are certainly in our church. God Bless you and your family!
