Prayer of Jabez!

1Chronicles4:8-12 (The Message)

9-10 Jabez was a better man than his brothers, a man of honor. His mother had named him Jabez (Oh, the pain!), saying, "A painful birth! I bore him in great pain!" Jabez prayed to the God of Israel: "Bless me, O bless me! Give me land, large tracts of land. And provide your personal protection—don't let evil hurt me." God gave him what he asked.

I had heard of this man named Jabez in a book by Bruce Wilkerson, but I had not read much about him until today. As I began to do some research I realized what a powerful prayer he prayed and that God gave him what he asked. Amazing isn't it? He was a man of honor and he prayed to the God of Israel!
But, was he any different than we are? Did he have the "magic formula" to get Gods favor on his life? Of course not! He was a human being just like you and me, he simply believed God and asked to be blessed. I want to encourage you today to remember your prayers are powerful and God hears you and when the time is right, He will answer you, and not only you, but everyone around you will be favored by our Heavenly Father! I am praying for you today my sweet friends! Have a wonderful day!
