Romans 8:28 (The Message)
26-28. Meanwhile, the moment we get tired in the waiting, God's Spirit is right alongside helping us along. If we don't know how or what to pray, it doesn't matter. He does our praying in and for us, making prayer out of our wordless sighs, our aching groans. He knows us far better than we know ourselves, knows our pregnant condition, and keeps us present before God. That's why we can be so sure that every detail in our lives of love for God is worked into something good.
Do you really believe this scripture? I have to admit I didn't believe "everything" would work for my good! I believe it has to do with where we are in our faith walk. I just never could go along with the fact that these terrible things that have happened in my life could have anything to do with God, much less be used for my good. BUT, as I get older in life and certainly as I grow in the Lord, I can tell you with a sincere heart that I truly do believe this very thing. For example, years ago when I was divorced and remarried, having a blended family and all the junk that went along with it, I can look back now and see God leading us all the way. Isn't that wonderful to know? We are on a journey! Now were there mistakes and wrong decisions? Of course, but God was still using these things to help me grow. In Jeremiah 29:11 we read "For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope." I do believe God knows what is best for me, I do believe He will use the things that other people's actions or those of my own will be used for my good just as His Word declares. If we believe only parts of Gods Word and not all of it, then this is picking and choosing what we want from Him. We either believe all of it or nothing! I don't serve a God that can lie, I know what He says to me and I choose by daily walking in faith that He will be there for me, that I can trust Him and certainly that I can believe what His Word says to me. I hope and pray you have a made up mind to believe and trust in the One and Only true Lord. There is no other way except His way. We live in perilous times just like the Bible said would happen in the last days! I am here to tell you, these are the last days. Time is short and urgency is the hour, please be in the place you need to be spiritually to pray for and stand in the gap for your unsaved loved ones and friends. We need to live strong and mighty by the power of the Holy Spirit. It is possible, we just need to step out in faith and claim the promises of God! Have a wonderful day leaning on Him!
