1 Timothy 2:8-10
8-10. Since prayer is at the bottom of all this, what I want mostly is for men to pray—not shaking angry fists at enemies but raising holy hands to God. And I want women to get in there with the men in humility before God, not primping before a mirror or chasing the latest fashions but doing something beautiful for God and becoming beautiful doing it.
Now what could that be talking about "doing something beautiful for God"? What could we possibly do for Him? I guess being humble would be high on the list, and then it talks about praying. Holding up our hands in worship and praise. When we come together as a body of believers, we are to not come with anger or resentment, but to be in a true act of worship. I just love the way this version states that we "become beautiful doing it". This is our goal to be more like Him, and to be in unity when we come together in the House of God!
