Now You're the One in Trouble!
Job 4:1:6 (The Message)
Eliphaz Speaks Out
1-6Then Eliphaz from Teman spoke up:
"Would you mind if I said something to you? Under the circumstances it's hard to keep quiet.
You yourself have done this plenty of times, spoken words
that clarify, encouraged those who were about to quit.
Your words have put stumbling people on their feet,
put fresh hope in people about to collapse.
But now you're the one in trouble—you're hurting!
You've been hit hard and you're reeling from the blow.
But shouldn't your devout life give you confidence now?
Shouldn't your exemplary life give you hope?
What goes around comes around, I guess! Whether it is good or bad, encouraging someone or someone encouraging us! It all comes to us, Thank God there are those precious friends who will come to our rescue with intercessory prayer or just a word of "This is temporary, God knows what is going on and I will pray for you". As in this scripture Job had many times helped others with his prayers of hope and deliverance and now it is his turn. He had been hit hard, you know the kind when you want to sit down and just call time out! But God had other plans for Job just as He has plans for you and me. As we begin this week, we have opportunities to express the love of God, be attentive to the Holy Spirit and let Him lead you to be a blessing to that one sitting there, not wanting to or having enough strength to get up. Remember your time (and mine) will come. I am praying for you dear friend. Be blessed as only God can bless!
