Palm Sunday!

Happy Palm Sunday Pictures, Images and Photos

John 12:12-16 (New Living Translation)

Jesus’ Triumphant Entry!

12. The next day, the news that Jesus was on the way to Jerusalem swept through the city. A large crowd of Passover visitors 13. took palm branches and went down the road to meet him. They shouted,
“Praise God!
Blessings on the one who comes in the name of the Lord!
Hail to the King of Israel!”

14. Jesus found a young donkey and rode on it, fulfilling the prophecy that said:

15. “Don’t be afraid, people of Jerusalem.
Look, your King is coming,
riding on a donkey’s colt.”

16. His disciples didn’t understand at the time that this was a fulfillment of prophecy. But after Jesus entered into his glory, they remembered what had happened and realized that these things had been written about him.

This very special Sunday begins as Jesus makes His entry in Jerusalem to begin a week of trial that would end in His death and Resurrection! It is very important for us to remember the significance of why Jesus made this journey for us. There will be many things to reflect on this week, so each day will be living the events as they happened those many years ago. It is hard to explain the emotions that I am sure every Christian will experience this week. How our Lord was treated just brings my face to the floor! But as for today, the entry was amazing. Can't you just feel the excitement? Many of the people that were there had been with Him when He called Lazarus from the tomb. They didn't have to have a reporter from channel 3 or the internet to announce the miraculous life of Jesus. These people saw and knew what He had done, and they loved Him. I wonder how many had loved ones healed or brought back from the dead? It just brings tears to my eyes as to the hope He gave anyone who came near Him. The tribute shown to Him with the palm leaves, the shouting of praises and the love shown to Him was overflowing. I can just picture being there on the side of the road as He is riding through. Our King and Savior! What a day! I pray for you this Palm Sunday that you will also put yourself there and this week you will let these events lodge deep within your heart. Remember what He has done for you, and be ever so thankful. Because if He hadn't, there would be no hope, no hope at all for you and me.
Blessings and Praises to our Lord!
