Life is a Journey!

One of my Fall Blessings Wreath!
1 Peter 1:18-21 (The Message)

Your life is a journey you must travel with a deep consciousness of God. It cost God plenty to get you out of that dead-end, empty-headed life you grew up in. He paid with Christ's sacred blood, you know. He died like an unblemished, sacrificial lamb. And this was no afterthought. Even though it has only lately—at the end of the ages—become public knowledge, God always knew he was going to do this for you. It's because of this sacrificed Messiah, whom God then raised from the dead and glorified, that you trust God, that you know you have a future in God.

Life is certainly a journey, just like the scripture states. Some call it a wild ride, and as the world is right now, I would say the latter. How can we keep this in our heart the price that was paid on the Cross? As I read these Scriptures in the Message translation, the part that really stood out to me was "God always knew He was going to do this for me and you". Always, He had a plan! What hope and encouragement to know this. I certainly don't believe things will improve a lot, the stage has to be set for what will come. But I do believe God really is in control. I wanted to share this with you this Lords Day, to give you hope to not quit, but to stay focused. We all face different situations, but the answer to all of them is still God.
