The Best Part of our Journey!

I would like to share with you how God brought us to Missouri. About 3 years ago, God showed John a wall that was so high he couldn't go over it, it was impossible. Then God showed him that it was possible, all He had to do was pick him up in His hands and put him over the wall. After this vision, things began to happen fast. We had moved a lot (he is a drywall contractor), but we were ready to buy a place and just settle somewhere. It would take to long to tell all that happened, but it was truly amazing how God led us to Pineville, Missouri. A beautiful house that overlooks the river is where we call home. We prayed that God would lead us to a spirit filled church where the truth was being taught, and that is exactly what happened. The most important event was the fact, John finally stopped running from what God had called him to do 3o years ago, preach His Word! Our pastor is also an amazing teacher, and John's best friend. They have spent many hours studying the Bible over the past 3 years. Now you may be wondering what is the point to all this! First of all, this life is a journey. We are all going somewhere all the time, of course the destination has to be the most important part. When we believe that God has a plan for our lives, and we ask Him to show us the way, He will do it. This is my favorite scripture, Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope". Now does this mean we will never have difficulties or heartaches, not hardly. This life is full of them, but here is the whole point of this. It is never to late to do what God has called you to do,(we are all called for Kingdom work) and we are never on our own trying to figure out what to do, never having direction, or just getting by. When we accept what Jesus offers to us and follow Him, He will always be with us, He will never leave or forsake us. His unfailing love is forever. I just want to encourage you to open your heart and seek Him! Peace, love, joy, all the fruits of the Spirit will be yours. No matter your age, God can and will use you! We are both proof of that!
