Forgive Others!

Colossians 3:12-14 (New Living Translation)

12 Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. 13 Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others. 14 Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony.

Seems like everywhere I go or what ever I listen to, I am hearing about forgiveness. It is so very important, that one more time this week, I must go deeper into this command from God. In the scriptures above we are told, we “must” forgive! We have to forgive others that offend us, and remember how much God forgave us. What I want to focus on is healing. I had a dear friend that was having problems in her marriage. Over the period of many years, dealing with the same old thing with her husband. She had bitterness, and unforgiveness in her heart. Her health was compromised also. After counseling and many prayers, she was able to forgive him. What was kind of strange to me, was when she chose to forgive, He began to change, then she began to change. Could unforgiveness keep us from receiving our healing? It certainly will keep our Heavenly Father from forgiving us. I hope you are taking this as seriously as I believe it is meant to be taken. Time is to short, we must try to make this world a better place for other people. Love should bind us together and make us stronger in the Lord. Have a Blessed Weekend! God loves you!

Forgiveness is absolutely necessary. When I have a problem with forgiving someone I remember the story of Joseph and his brothers.
We would love to have you join us on the weekends for Spiritual Sundays. It's a place to share our spiritual/inspirational posts. Here's the link if you're interested.
