The Plaque!

Psalm 119:105 (New Living Translation)

Your word is a lamp to guide my feet
and a light for my path.

I have a plaque that reads “Your Word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path.” I am not even sure where it came from, but I have always had it hanging in my house. It has been a source of strength and encouragement for me. In my life there have been many times when this “light” has been my guide and kept me on the path. During the times when I wasn’t walking in the light, the darkness couldn’t have been any darker. I have often wondered why we just couldn’t learn from either other peoples experiences or after one time of messing up, we would just do what was right. Of course, because we live in a fallen world, there will be times when we stray from the path, we must remember that God made every provision for us when He sent His Son to take our punishment. It was then we were set free from the curse of sin. So as I walk through my house and see this plaque on the wall, it fills my heart with joy and peace. I know that as long as I stay on the right path, that light from my Heavenly Father will guide me and keep me from getting lost. I can have confidence and be assured that as long as I stay in God’s Word, knowing what He likes and what He doesn’t like,that I am on a journey that will lead to Heaven, forever to be with Jesus!
