Proverbs 17:6 (New Living Translation)
Grandchildren are the crowning glory of the aged;
parents are the pride of their children.
We have three granddaughters visiting with us this week, one is thirteen, one is twelve, and the other one is ten. What a wonderful time we are already having! Since this is the first time they have all been here at the same time, we are making lots of plans. I am amazed as I watch them how much they are like their mothers. I am also reminded of the responsibility we as grandparents have for them. To pray and ask God for their protection, knowing He is not willing any of them should perish, but to be saved and live a life that would be pleasing to Him. We always pray the Spirit of the Lord be on them and give them wisdom and understanding. This world is saturated with every evil imaginable to steal our children from us, even to the point of taking away parents rights. If there was ever a time to storm the throne room of heaven it is now! We must stand up for what is right and claim our promises from God who assured us, that we and our household would be saved. Even if we don’t have grandchildren, we still must pray for all children. They are the future church! I ask you as you read this, that we pray and agree to stand in the gap. You might want to also pray for me, this just might be a very interesting week and I am going to need all the energy I can possibly have! Hugs and Blessings to You!
