God is our Protector!

Psalm 121 (The Message)

1-2 I look up to the mountains; does my strength come from mountains? No, my strength comes from God, who made heaven, and earth, and mountains. 3-4 He won't let you stumble, your Guardian God won't fall asleep. Not on your life! Israel's Guardian will never doze or sleep. 5-6 God's your Guardian, right at your side to protect you— Shielding you from sunstroke, sheltering you from moonstroke. 7-8 God guards you from every evil, he guards your very life. He guards you when you leave and when you return, he guards you now, he guards you always.

"The message" makes it pretty plain how God protects us. Every once in awhile, I like to use this version, because it is so plain (maybe to plain sometimes) that no one can misunderstand what he is talking about. God does protect us, all of the time. It just reinforces to me just how much our Heavenly Father loves and cherishes us. I was remembering earlier how my earthly father protected us when we were little, I never worried when I went to sleep, or during the day. When he was working, then our mother protected us; but we need to realize how much more our Lord cares for us. No one can guard us like He can! This is just a reminder that we can trust Him, we are told to cast all our cares on Him. He will be there for us! I pray you will be strengthened in your faith as you stand on His Word!
