Have Trust in Him!

Psalm 9:9,10 (New International Version)

9 The LORD is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble.
10 Those who know your name will trust in you, for you, LORD, have never forsaken those who seek you.

Each of us could tell of times of trouble that we have experienced in our life! Times of death, sickness, divorce, the list goes on and on. Are you one who God has ministered to you and brought you through this time of crisis? Are you able to help others that might be experiencing the same heartaches? I had a well meaning pastor tell me one time, after my divorce, that he knew what I was going through, and I remember the reaction I had, I even mentioned to him that unless he had gone through it, he didn't have a clue. Only if we have gone through a situation, can we say to someone "I know how you feel". There are so many hurting people and we don't have to look far to find them. Many are in our own family. My question for you and me to is, Do we reach out and try to comfort or be encouraging to someone? Shouldn't we feel the need to help, isn't this what would Jesus did? I pray that we would all be open to the leading of the Holy Spirit and let Him show us how we can be there for our brothers and sisters. Lifting them up, praying for them in times when they are ready to give up. Giving them hope because of Jesus and letting them know they can depend on Him. God bless you as you reach out to others!

Shirley,

I just smile as I read this post! You have such a sweet heart and it flows in your posts!

My husband and I have worked with a LIFE Coach for many years and we continually told her we felt we were called to minister to others in all that we had walked to and she explained that we already were doing just that! This kingdom today is so different than in years past and leaders don't necessarily have to be head of a ministry or of a church that can and should be just like you and me....The Body. I hope many who visit here today will be encouraged to do just as you shared....love as Jesus, encourage as Jesus, and minister out of our experience...just like Jesus.
