The Faithfulness of God!

Psalm 138:1-3 (The Message)

1-3. Thank you! Everything in me says "Thank you!" Angels listen as I sing my thanks.
I kneel in worship facing your holy temple
and say it again: "Thank you!"
Thank you for your love,
thank you for your faithfulness;
Most holy is your name,
most holy is your Word.
The moment I called out, you stepped in;
you made my life large with strength.

Have you ever labored in prayer for what seemed like forever waiting for an answer? Anything from the Lord, even a clear maybe or just no? I had mentioned on facebook the other day about something our family was praying about. There seemed to be more wrong than right, and how in the world could God be in this! Oh yes, it was something else! Months of wondering when will this begin to happen or is it Gods will for it to happen. Several people praying for direction is powerful, but in this scripture it says "the moment I called out, You stepped in", and of course that is the way it happens. Hubby preached recently that when we pray and God begins to move, He is also moving on the other end and in peoples lives until it all lines up with His timing. It is not easy to wait, but this is the faith walk that is talked about in Gods Word. Then to have peace and know it is Gods will means everything when the enemy of our souls come to us and tries to steal it from us. I have repeated this so many times to myself (and still do sometimes) about why we live where we do and the events that led up to it. How wonderful to know that as sure as I am breathing I know God brought us here, then knowing that gives me peace and assures me He is taking care of us. To be in the will of God will let you sleep of a night, you will be encouraged to know that no matter what happens He will be with us. So I proclaim loud and clear "thank you Lord", thank you for your faithfulness, thank you for being there for me when I call to you. Thank you for your love,and for answering our prayers.

Shirley - this is beautiful. I had lunch with two friends today and we were discussing the fact that often we don't understand why God allows some things to happen. However, He has higher purposes than we can often understand and we know that He causes all things to work together for our good.

Blessings,
Joan

I have lived long enough now to see God working His will over and over again. He is always faithful. I'm just not learning (and I am still learning) to trust him and find peach in His leading. Thank you for this encouraging post.

I often think about how God led me where I live and work. Sometimes I'm not real sure why.
