Fall Season!

My shop had to have a wreath to!

Leviticus 26:3 (The Message)

"If You Live by My Decrees..."

3-5. "If you live by my decrees and obediently keep my commandments, I will send the rains in their seasons, the ground will yield its crops and the trees of the field their fruit. You will thresh until the grape harvest and the grape harvest will continue until planting time; you'll have more than enough to eat and will live safe and secure in your land.

Am I the only one that seems to be busy all the time? I can't seem to get caught up, there is always something to do. I have to admit though I am enjoying most of it! This has been the busiest summer for hubby and I in several years, we just can't seem to figure out why. LOL. When you get to our age slowing down was a big part of life, supposedly! The one thing I don't like is not writing as much. Even my blog gets only one post a week, hopefully that to will get back to normal. As you have read in some of my posts, a friend and I have opened a booth at a local flea market. We prayed for favor to sell our "wares", and we are. We are so thankful! And having so much fun with it to. I love to paint and decorate and she has antiques and collectibles. Perfect match to get those folks coming back! There is also lots of holidays coming up, my Bible study will begin again in October. I have found the greatest study from a newspaper ad that had Beth Moores "Daniel". Even though I am not Presbyterian, they let me join anway. lol. Now two studies later, we are excited to begin again. I have been able to keep up with my daily readings, I know this is where my strength comes from. It is through the Word we have faith and hope. We may get to have vacations and time off, but the enemy of our souls never stops the attacks. He is truly a relentless foe! We need to remember that we are in a battle and stay focused. It is easy to get sidetracked, isn't it? I hope you have had a wonderful summer, beginning now we will begin to think more inside than outside. Being cozy and lots of good food, (it has been to hot to think much about eating this summer).
Blessings to you this Lords Day! Check out Spiritual Sunday and read the testimonies, you will be encouraged. (The Link is on the sidebar)

Hi, I'm visting from Spiritual Sunday. I sincerely like your post because I am one of those people who get so busy doing "busy" work. I like that you reminded us that we are in a battle and we do need to be prepared. I know we should enjoy life but we are here to spread the word of Jesus Christ first.

I so relate to the business and speed of this year. It has literally sped by. I, too, am hoping to get back to a more regular schedule of blogging like I use to do. Happy Sabbath to you!

Same here - busier and busier - in part because of caregiving needs and in part because of more writing, but like you, I am enjoying it all in Him as well.

I did the Beth Moore womens Bible study book on Daniel on my own a year or so ago, coupled with the mp3 downloads I got from iTunes. All of her Bible studies have been such a blessing to me and this was definitely included in that! Very encouraging! I know you will all be blessed tremendously.

Have a lovely and fulfilling week! :)

You're right. It is easy to get side tracked. I'm always glad when fall comes around and things seem to fall more into a routine pattern. It is good to be busy and to enjoy what you're doing. God has been good to you, Shirley, and I'm glad you share your experiences with us.
Blessings,
Charlotte

Life sure is busy. I can't believe that it is all ready the end of September. Where did summer go?
It is important for us to slow down, though.. and make time for ourselves and for the Lord.
God bless you.
