Just Trust God!

Proverbs 3:5-12 (The Message Translation)

5-12 Trust God from the bottom of your heart;
   don't try to figure out everything on your own.
Listen for God's voice in everything you do, everywhere you go;
   he's the one who will keep you on track.
Don't assume that you know it all.
   Run to God! Run from evil!
Your body will glow with health,
   your very bones will vibrate with life!
Honor God with everything you own;
   give him the first and the best.
Your barns will burst,
   your wine vats will brim over.
But don't, dear friend, resent God's discipline;
   don't sulk under his loving correction.
It's the child he loves that God corrects;
   a father's delight is behind all this.

Well, it sounds like it should be easy, just trust God! How many times I have heard that said to me, and I am like, "well OK" but it isn't easy is it?  It takes commitment and dedication and probably the most of all to get ourselves out of the way with "I can figure this out and then I can fix it". As I was reading the scriptures this morning, this passage jumped out at me and I immediately went to the Message translation to use in my post. It spoke to my heart as I have been trying to figure out how us along with other folks are going to make it in this economy. Actually frantic sometimes, worry sometimes, until I remember Who I serve. When we see all these things happening that grips our hearts with fear, like the gas prices going up, people out of work, earthquakes in unusual places and recently the Tsunami that hit Japan this morning. It is truly overwhelming! Some are saying what in the world is going on, but the ones who know Christ as their personal Savior know these things will come because He told us that in His Word! You see, God always showed His people what was going to happen, He always had a plan and He has one now. Don't be frightened and discouraged. God is in control! I believe many will be saved because of all this shaking that is going on. Stay focused on God and know His Word. We have written instructions! I pray for peace in your heart so that you will be able to encourage others.
Have a Blessed Day!

Tried to follow, but Google is acting goofy today. Hope you'll stop by Gail-Friends and sit a spell.

Hi Shirley,

I believe that you along with other bloggers are sharing a word of encouragement today. In spite of the unfolding events occuring in America and around the world, the scriptures tell us to, "Trust God from the bottom of your heart..."

Thank you Shirley for these encouraging words.

Blessings and peace.
