Oh my Soul, Bless God!

Psalm 103 (The Message)

1-2. O my soul, bless God. From head to toe, I'll bless his holy name!
O my soul, bless God,
don't forget a single blessing!

3-5. He forgives your sins—every one.
He heals your diseases—every one.
He redeems you from hell—saves your life!
He crowns you with love and mercy—a paradise crown.
He wraps you in goodness—beauty eternal.
He renews your youth—you're always young in his presence.

When we read scriptures like this, why should we worry? Why would we ever think God doesn't care about us, that He has never done anything for us? He is the only One who could make a way for us to be saved! It grieves my heart so to hear someone make a statement that God doesn't care about them. I know it is difficult when a person is right in the middle of a crisis to really believe God loves them, at times probably everyone has been there, but the point is, we don't stay there. Yes, there are some things that can rock our world and maybe for a little while we do wonder where is God in all of this, but sister you must believe He is right beside you, He didn't leave you and even though it may be hard to understand, there is a plan that is being worked out. He can even take the bad things that others do to us and use them for good. Will we ever figure everything out? of course not, He is God! His ways and thoughts are higher than ours. Read these scriptures again and then praise Him for his mercy and goodness toward you. Be thankful for what He is doing in your life! Be patient and see what will happen. Bless you dear one!

Don't Worry!

Matthew 6:25-34 (The Message)

25-26."If you decide for God, living a life of God-worship, it follows that you don't fuss about what's on the table at mealtimes or whether the clothes in your closet are in fashion. There is far more to your life than the food you put in your stomach, more to your outer appearance than the clothes you hang on your body. Look at the birds, free and unfettered, not tied down to a job description, careless in the care of God. And you count far more to him than birds.

27-29."Has anyone by fussing in front of the mirror ever gotten taller by so much as an inch? All this time and money wasted on fashion—do you think it makes that much difference? Instead of looking at the fashions, walk out into the fields and look at the wildflowers. They never primp or shop, but have you ever seen color and design quite like it? The ten best-dressed men and women in the country look shabby alongside them.

30-33. "If God gives such attention to the appearance of wildflowers—most of which are never even seen—don't you think he'll attend to you, take pride in you, do his best for you? What I'm trying to do here is to get you to relax, to not be so preoccupied with getting, so you can respond to God's giving. People who don't know God and the way he works fuss over these things, but you know both God and how he works. Steep your life in God-reality, God-initiative, God-provisions. Don't worry about missing out. You'll find all your everyday human concerns will be met.

34.."Give your entire attention to what God is doing right now, and don't get worked up about what may or may not happen tomorrow. God will help you deal with whatever hard things come up when the time comes.

Hubby preached a powerful sermon today on "Worry" a much needed message for all of us. Worrying is rampant, even among Gods people, it is so hard to not "worry". So I thought I would share with you what the "Message" had to say about it. As I was reading the scriptures, I was ashamed of making such a fuss about appearances. Now I believe God expects us to take care of our bodies, it is only when we become obsessed that we run into trouble. I do want to look and dress the best that I can, and I am sure you do to and I don't believe that it is wrong. But it sure isn't at the top of the list, is it? Our God is so wise and loving, He has made provisions. We don't need to worry about all these things. He is faithful to us! I would just like to encourage you this week to concentrate on what God has done and is doing for us! When these thoughts come to us, lets quote some scripture and believe what He tells us in His Word. Have a blessed week, sweet friends!

In Christ!

Ephesians 1:11-14 (The Message)

11-12. It's in Christ that we find out who we are and what we are living for. Long before we first heard of Christ and got our hopes up, he had his eye on us, had designs on us for glorious living, part of the overall purpose he is working out in everything and everyone.
13-14. It's in Christ that you, once you heard the truth and believed it (this Message of your salvation), found yourselves home free—signed, sealed, and delivered by the Holy Spirit. This signet from God is the first installment on what's coming, a reminder that we'll get everything God has planned for us, a praising and glorious life.

If you have wondered who you are and why you are here taking up space, then here is your answer! Can you imagine that a long time before we knew about Him, He already had plans for us! Plans that once we believe and accepted His Son, we would be saved. But this was only the beginning! There is so much more! I am afraid we live way beneath our inheritance. Then we wonder why we don't live a victorious life! He sent His Word and the Holy Spirit to be our teacher. We really don't have any excuses, do we? I pray that we would claim what is rightly ours, after all the highest price ever paid was for us. Have a Blessed Lords day. (Be sure and check out Spiritual Sunday, the ladies always have praise reports and blessing to share).

The Rescue!

2 Corinthians 1:3-5 (The Message)

3-5. All praise to the God and Father of our Master, Jesus the Messiah! Father of all mercy! God of all healing counsel! He comes alongside us when we go through hard times, and before you know it, he brings us alongside someone else who is going through hard times so that we can be there for that person just as God was there for us. We have plenty of hard times that come from following the Messiah, but no more so than the good times of his healing comfort—we get a full measure of that, too.

I know about these hard times don't you? Especially in the past year and even now, we know of so many people that are hurting in one way or another. When we follow Christ, we know there will be trying times in our life. However, we were never meant to be on this journey alone! Friends and family will be there for us just as we should be there for them. Words of encouragement and hope give us this comfort that things will get better. And, oh my when we experience this healing comfort that comes from our Heavenly Father, there are not words to describe. Peace from our Father God Himself! So when you see someone having a "hard time", be there for them. Because as surely as you are reading this, they will be coming our way to. Pray to be aware of the needs around you, read the scripture again and be ready!
Have a blessed Saturday!

He is Our Redeemer!

Isaiah 44:24

24. "This is what the LORD says—
your Redeemer, who formed you in the womb:
I am the LORD,
who has made all things,
who alone stretched out the heavens,
who spread out the earth by myself,

Another confirmation that God knew you when you was in your mothers womb. He tells us over and over again who He is and who we are and why we are here. We have to be important or He would not have sent His only Son to take our sins upon Him and die for us. God loves us, He made us in His image! He made all things, He is our redeemer. I know there are times when we all question why are we here and what in the world do we have to do with anything. We feel unimportant, but you see here is where the problem lies, we "feel", this walk of faith has nothing to do with how we feel! It has everything to do with what does the Word say, what is God saying to us! This is why we believe that we are important and very precious to our Heavenly Father. He loves you and me! He loves you and me! Get this down deep in your spirit. He loves you and me!

For Such A Time As This!

Esther 4:12 (The Message)

12-14. When Hathach told Mordecai what Esther had said, Mordecai sent her this message: "Don't think that just because you live in the king's house you're the one Jew who will get out of this alive. If you persist in staying silent at a time like this, help and deliverance will arrive for the Jews from someplace else; but you and your family will be wiped out. Who knows? Maybe you were made queen for just such a time as this."

No mention of God, Satan, or angels! No reference of how to live a christian life! Hummmm, so why should we study this book of Esther? Because it is in the Bible and the Bible is the inspired Word of God, given to us for correction and reproof. In this very important book, you may not see Gods name in it but His handwriting is all over it. It is an amazing story of how God is working in the lives of people, just like you and me. We can't always see the plan in action, so what do you do when we can't? What happens when we get to the Red Sea and it doesn't part? Does it mean that God has forgotten us, and there really is not a plan for us? Of course not, this is when faith kicks in and we stand there and say, God I don't have a clue what is going on, but I am going to trust you and believe you are working on my behalf! I know you love me and nothing can separate me from Your love! Sweet friends, if you get a chance to study about this woman that God used to save her people (the Jews), you will be blessed to say the least!

He Trusted God!

Daniel 6:23 (The Message)

23. When the king heard these words, he was happy. He ordered Daniel taken up out of the den. When he was hauled up, there wasn't a scratch on him. He had trusted his God.

Have you had a "lions den" experience? or should I say "how many" lions den experiences? Seems to me like nothing happens just one at a time anymore, it comes from everywhere. There is always something going on! I can tell you I need God more now than I ever have in my life. I remember many times when crises, sickness, death , heartache you name it, its been there at one time or another. But the battle has been stepped up to another level. The enemy, the deceiver of our souls is on a rampage, he knows the time is short! As the old saying goes, this is not a time for the faint and weak hearted! We must be battle ready, standing firm in our Lord and Savior, who is no respecter of persons and will deliver us from our "lions den" experience. I pray for you today friends and family! Be strong and courageous. Keeping your focus on Him! Just trust Him! Love and blessings to you!
