Fear That Can Stop Us!

Do you remember the first time fear gripped your heart and made you wonder if you had another breath? I am sure each of us could tell you how old we were, where we was at, and exactly what was going on. Fear is a real thing that can keep us in such bondage that we can't function. In John 14:27, Jesus said, "I am leaving you with a gift, peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give isn't like the peace the world gives. So don't be troubled or afraid. Psalm 46:1,2 (this is my favorite) says God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble. So we will not fear, even if earthquakes come and the mountains crumble into the sea. So what do we do when we are overcome with fear and how do we find the strength to go on? Look to Gods' word, these promises are ours! Believe they are for you and claim them! God Bless you today!

One day I was so afraid, so fearful, I almost lost my mind to it. My sweet disposition disappeared with my courage when I learned that I had trusted where trust was not warranted. But what was most upsetting through this discovery was the moment when I realized that my faith was gone, just evaporated into thin air. The "let go and let God" attitude that had sustained me for 55 years was obliterated. As I asked myself what could have happened to that which was such a part of me, as much as the nose on my face, the answer came to me as clear as day. God had already given me the tools I needed to get through my ordeal, had already inspired me as to how to behave, think, and act as a Christian soldier. His Holy Spirit was there afterall and I was victorious in my fight back from the brink of insanity. With the help of my sweet friends, like you, reminding me that it takes faith no bigger than a mustard seed, all my former beliefs in all that is holy are restored. Praising the Lord today and I remain his humble servant.
