Family Fun!

Joshua24:15 (New Living Translation) But if you refuse to serve the Lord, then choose today whom you will serve. Would you prefer the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates? Or will it be the gods of the Amorites in whose land you now live? But as for me and my family, we will serve the Lord!

What a wonderful day we had on Saturday, John, myself and most of our family took a trip to Tahlequah Oklahoma. We had two places in mind when we left, the weather cooperated and we made them both. The Heritage Center was first and the second was the Murrell House. I believe we were all very surprised how much of the Cherokee history was available to us. There was a tour of the village that showed how they survived. Everything from making bow and arrows, to their council meetings. There was a trip through the town, then back inside to the museum. Then we were on our way to the antebellum house! We were very excited when we learned they had period reenactments and dancing on the front lawn. John even did the Virginia Reel with the girls, now if he just could have figured out that right and left thing! We really had a wonderful trip, making memories and sharing the blessings of God is always at the top of the list for us. My dad once said, one of these days when you are sitting in that rocking chair, that is what you will have left, so make lots of them! I pray you play hard, laugh often and remember to always be thankful to our wonderful God who makes it possible. Those children grow up way to fast, and when the grandchildren start growing up “to fast” then you know that old rocking chair is getting closer all the time. Make a choice for you and your family to serve the Lord and start making those memories!
