Followers of Christ!

Ephesians 3:7-13 (The Message)

7-8. This is my life work: helping people understand and respond to this Message. It came as a sheer gift to me, a real surprise, God handling all the details. When it came to presenting the Message to people who had no background in God's way, I was the least qualified of any of the available Christians. God saw to it that I was equipped, but you can be sure that it had nothing to do with my natural abilities.

8-10. And so here I am, preaching and writing about things that are way over my head, the inexhaustible riches and generosity of Christ. My task is to bring out in the open and make plain what God, who created all this in the first place, has been doing in secret and behind the scenes all along. Through followers of Jesus like yourselves gathered in churches, this extraordinary plan of God is becoming known and talked about even among the angels!

11-13. All this is proceeding along lines planned all along by God and then executed in Christ Jesus. When we trust in him, we're free to say whatever needs to be said, bold to go wherever we need to go. So don't let my present trouble on your behalf get you down. Be proud!

Paul's letter to the Ephesians could be anyone of us writing this passage if we are followers of Christ! In the very first sentence he is telling us his life work is to help people understand and respond to the message of the Cross. Please read it several times to fully understand what he is saying to us. I to feel totally unqualified, but I have a burning desire and compassion for helping people. Sharing what we have revelation about to be there when people are hurting and don't know where to turn. Do you feel like things are way over your head (as I do) but are willing to step out in faith, knowing that God will help us give a word to someone? God will make it plain, He is the great "I Am". We must never forget who He is and we must never forget that we are never alone. He will equip us to share His message of truth and grace. I pray you are having a wonderful day in the Lord, and you will be blessed in the coming week. Remember He loves you special one!

Yes, He will equip us--powerful statement--if only we truly believed it and lived it out. I long to take Him at His word. Thanks or the gentle reminder.

These scriptures are so much easier understood in the words of The Message. Yes, I can sure identify with being in over my head when it comes to sharing His Word. This post is a great encouragement. Thank you for sharing it with us.
Blessings,
Charlotte
