The Reality, Not the Illusion!

(One of my Peony bushes that is beginning to bloom, I love Spring, a time for new beginnings)

1 John 5:14-15 (The Message)

13-15.My purpose in writing is simply this: that you who believe in God's Son will know beyond the shadow of a doubt that you have eternal life, the reality and not the illusion. And how bold and free we then become in his presence, freely asking according to his will, sure that he's listening. And if we're confident that he's listening, we know that what we've asked for is as good as ours.

"Bold and free" is how this version states this, talking about me and you. If we believe, really believe Gods Word, without a shadow of a doubt, this how we come to Him. I don't know about you but that blesses my heart so and gives me confidence. There is no way we would come to Christ if we did not believe He would listen to us, I mean, why would we? But the realty is He is listening, He does hear and He does care. It is scriptures like this that keeps us going, seems like there is always something to deal with and we simply cannot do it on our own. Issues with health, the economy and so many more have people searching for answers. Some are putting their trust in God and some are frantically searching in other areas. Listen my sweet friend, there is no other answer, there is no other way. Only through Jesus Christ will we find the peace and purpose for our life. I want to encourage you as we begin another week, that you look to Him, believe Him and wait for the answer to come. You will not be disappointed. God loves you and I am praying for you!

Amen Shirley! No other way but Jesus.

And you're right. Why would we pray if we didn't think He was listening.

Bless you!
