Saturday Morning!

I hope you are having a peaceful weekend. Life gets so hectic and it seems like there is always something going on. Sometimes it is good just to do nothing or at least do something you love. Hubby had a job to go to this morning, so I decided to do a little painting. Since we have moved here, I had so many other things to do, like take down a mountain of wallpaper and paint walls, so the decorative painting was put on the back burner (that is an Arkansas way of saying, it had to wait). So with brushes and an idea I began. I am certainly not the greatest, but I was pretty pleased when it was finished (pictures are not the greatest because of the angle I had to take). Now I am wondering what to paint next! God has been so good to me to let me enjoy things like this. Life is not always easy and there are times when it is refreshing just to empty all the turmoil and craziness of this world. Time to be thankful for all God has done for me. Thankful that I can walk because of the polio, thankful for the blessings of my family and friends. But thankful most of all for salvation! This is one of those face on the floor times, when it is overwhelming to know what God did for me. Whether it is painting or whatever hobby you have, it is a wonderful opportunity to pray and praise God. What a blessing to be able to express oneself in this way! I pray your Sunday Worship services will bring restoration and freedom to you and your family! Be blessed sweet friends!

Hi Shirley,
I, too, am a painter although I don't end up painting nearly as much as I would like to. I guess I have too many hobbies and things I love to do--blogging and blog design getting in to the mix as of the last two years.

But I loved your post and your testimony. "On our faces"--the way we should always be because of His wonderful love.

And I am an Arkansas girl through and through--

Love,
Dianne

Your painting is beautiful! Even before I read your post I was thinking what a beautiful picture. Sometimes other things just need to wait.
Have a wonderful day,

What a blessing your post was to me today. I listened to it instead of reading it. That's really neat to have the "listen now" option at the top of your post. I did go down and turn the music off so I could concentrate more on the post. Thank you for sharing.
Blessings,
Charlotte

That's beautiful. But even more beautiful is a grateful attitude and being consumed by Him. You exemplify. Blessings to you.
