Ephesians 4:17-24 (New Living Translation)

Living as Children of Light

17. With the Lord’s authority I say this: Live no longer as the Gentiles do, for they are hopelessly confused. 18. Their minds are full of darkness; they wander far from the life God gives because they have closed their minds and hardened their hearts against him. 19. They have no sense of shame. They live for lustful pleasure and eagerly practice every kind of impurity.
20. But that isn’t what you learned about Christ. 21. Since you have heard about Jesus and have learned the truth that comes from him, 22. throw off your old sinful nature and your former way of life, which is corrupted by lust and deception. 23. Instead, let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes. 24. Put on your new nature, created to be like God—truly righteous and holy.

I was blessed to attend the Beth Moore simulcast on Saturday! All I can say is "amazing", 300,000 women in 389 locations. We had 120 where we was at! No one was "accidentally" there, it was Gods plan. Women are reaching out in unity and standing up to be counted in the faith. The scripture she used in Ephesians was to show how we are before Christ is the Lord of our life, and what happens afterward. We are new in Him, we do make the choice to put off the old man. In verse 24, we are the ones that has to do this! It didn't say God does it, or someone else for us, it says " (you) put on your new nature, created to be like God-truly righteous and holy". It is up to us, our responsibility to have a made up mind to do this very thing. I pray as you begin another week, that you would be mindful of this truth. When something comes up (and it will), remember to respond with this new nature we have. Ask yourself, now, is this how I used to act with my old nature? or is this my new nature being like Christ. Queen Esther!

Esther 2:16-18 (New Living Translation)

16. Esther was taken to King Xerxes at the royal palace in early winter of the seventh year of his reign. 17. And the king loved Esther more than any of the other young women. He was so delighted with her that he set the royal crown on her head and declared her queen instead of Vashti. 18. To celebrate the occasion, he gave a great banquet in Esther’s honor for all his nobles and officials, declaring a public holiday for the provinces and giving generous gifts to everyone.

I want to give you an update on my Bible Study on the book of Esther by Beth Moore. To say it is a marvelous study would be an understatement! There are 14 of us in the class, and we are all of the same opinion. I didn't really understand how a book in the Bible that didn't use the name of God, satan, or angels could show us how to live a Christian life. Hummm, well sisters, this very important book in Gods Word has His handwriting all over it. People are "maneuvered" around so that His will and plan would be carried out. From Queen Vasti refusing to come to his drunken party, to Esther being crowned Queen is quite a journey so far! I am very excited and thankful to be a part of this study. I must also state, these ladies at the Presbyterian Church are the sweetest and serious about learning more about our Lord! So as we continue (this was week 2), I will keep you informed. Jesus Is Coming Again!

Daniel 12:8-13 (New International Version)

8 I heard, but I did not understand. So I asked, "My lord, what will the outcome of all this be?"

9 He replied, "Go your way, Daniel, because the words are closed up and sealed until the time of the end. 10 Many will be purified, made spotless and refined, but the wicked will continue to be wicked. None of the wicked will understand, but those who are wise will understand.

11 "From the time that the daily sacrifice is abolished and the abomination that causes desolation is set up, there will be 1,290 days. 12 Blessed is the one who waits for and reaches the end of the 1,335 days.

13 "As for you, go your way till the end. You will rest, and then at the end of the days you will rise to receive your allotted inheritance."

Well, this was the last day of our 12 week Bible Study on the book of Daniel! I have learned so much and actually understand most of what the scripture above is saying. Beth Moore is such a gifted and anointed teacher. It is important that we understand the end times, not to argue about any of it, but just to realize we are living in the last days. Of course the most important things we can do is be ready. Just making sure Jesus is our Savior and Lord. She (Beth) was talking of a relative of hers that was not saved and how she and others had tried to explain to him about the coming of Christ, but he refused, he just didn't believe. We all know there will be people that will not receive salvation, but it breaks my heart to. I just want to shake the daylights out of them, trying to get them to realize "what if what we believe is right, what if it is really true" Oh my, we have a lot of praying to do, don't you agree? Jesus really is coming again, it won't change just because someone doesn't believe it. God Bless you Sisters!

What a blessing to participate in a Beth Moore simulcast! It was tremendous, at least 250 women coming together to receive a word from the Lord! Psalm 37 was the theme of her message. To delight our self in the Lord, He says, He will give us the desires of our heart. What are the desires of your heart? what is it that you really want from the Lord? She gave us time to tell Him what we wanted. We were challenged all the way through the service, to really ponder what is truly our hearts desire. I would like to encourage you to read the whole chapter, it will bless your heart. Be open to the leading of the Holy Spirit and lay some things out there. We need to tell God what we want, don't ever give up hope because the things we prayed for hasn't happened yet. He will give us the desires of our heart, just like He said! Be encouraged for His Word is truth!
