Refresh Tired Bodies!

Jeremiah 31:25 (The Message)

25. I'll refresh tired bodies;
I'll restore tired souls

Do you ever just get "plum" tired? Yesterday was one of those days for me, just tired in my body, but not in my soul. My bible study is amazing, as I had stated last week, no one that I have heard can open up the Word like Beth Moore. The Book of Esther is being revealed to me in a way that I have never experienced. What means more to me than anything in the Book is how, even when we can't see Gods plan being carried out, He is there with His breath all over it! Wow! revelation time for me! Now back to that tired body, as some of you know my sister and I had polio when we were children, so we both now have some problems with our health. This "tired" body, can only go for so long, and then its time out. I didn't even make it to church last night ( I don't like to miss church), but did enjoy the rest. There are times when I can rest and then there are times when it is not possible. This is when I call upon my Heavenly Father for this rest and strength that can only come from Him. This supernatural rest that gives such peace, nothing can interfere with it. I am praying for you as you read this that God would graciously empower you with His peace and rest, and that you would become strong in His might. Have a Blessed Day! (please pray for me to)

Psalm 92:1-3 (New International Version)

A psalm. A song. For the Sabbath day.
1. It is good to praise the LORD and make music to your name, O Most High,
2. to proclaim your love in the morning and your faithfulness at night,
3. to the music of the ten-stringed lyre and the melody of the harp.

How amazing for Gods people to come together in praise and worship! Lifting up the only One who is worthy to be praised. To come into His presence and concentrate on Him, leaves no room for the cares of this world. This is what Sunday is set aside for, to rest in Him. Keeping our focus on Him gives us strength and courage to face the upcoming week. I love that this scripture says to proclaim His love in the morning and at night remember His faithfulness. Surely on this one day a week we can truly rest and have peace. Tomorrow and all the problems will be here soon enough, but today lets just put it all aside and really be thankful for all He has done. I pray your Sunday will be full of Him! Blessings to You!

A Day of Rest!

Hebrews 4:1-3 (New International Version)

A Sabbath-Rest for the People of God 1.Therefore, since the promise of entering his rest still stands, let us be careful that none of you be found to have fallen short of it. 2.For we also have had the gospel preached to us, just as they did; but the message they heard was of no value to them, because those who heard did not combine it with faith 3.Now we who have believed enter that rest, just as God has said, "So I declared on oath in my anger, 'They shall never enter my rest.

A promise of rest that still stands today! A day when we just forget about all the cares of this world, a day to reflect on the goodness of God. I love Sundays, of course first is church, then after lunch, it is a day of rest. I may read or sometimes take a nap, but whatever it is, my hubby and I do not discuss work, problems, or anything that steals our peace. I believe this is one reason why God set this day aside for us. He knew we would need this time to concentrate on Him, to pray, spend time with other believers, but mainly to build us up,and for our faith to be strengthened. Then we would be prepared for the coming week. The enemy of our souls is working overtime because he knows the time is short. If there ever was a time when we need victory over him, it is now. As you enjoy your day of rest, I pray you will be strengthened and empowered for the coming battles the week will bring. I pray you will be victorious and peace will dominate your heart and mind! Have a blessed Lords Day!
