Well, it is back from vacation and we had a wonderful time. Lots of sight seeing and rest was just what we needed. Our first stop was in Memphis touring Graceland. Now I have to tell you my daughters are crazy about Elvis, me on the other hand is not to crazy about him. I know, some would think this is unAmerican! Maybe so, but no denying he was a very talented man. He is the "king" is what we were told there. Well, this is all well and good, but it bothered me to see him worshiped as he is. Even to this day people come from all over the world to see where he lived and died. When we got around to the grave site, there were folks crying for him! It certainly is very sad, I am not saying that at all, and it is such a waste that he didn't live longer. We also visited Hank Williams museum in Montgomery, Alabama and spent the day there. I love history so this was right up my alley. We headed onto Pensacola and enjoyed the rest of our time just having fun and relaxing. We all really enjoyed the trip, but it had to end and get back to the "real world". I want to thank you for praying for our safety, everything was fine. God had His Hand on us! Summer is nearly over with and we are getting into another season. I hope you have made some wonderful memories with family and friends and if not, if things are not going well, then my prayer for you is to keep focused on God and He will lead you through the valley you are walking. He will never leave or forsake any of us if we are trusting in Him. Our King will not die and leave us to fend for ourselves. Have a wonderful week! Much Needed Rest!

This next week my daughters and I will be taking a much needed vacation. To say we are excited is an understatement! Time away from jobs, stress and yes even family members. They all stay so busy! I remember all the running and keeping up with all the activities. Life is busy and hectic and sometimes we just need a time out to regroup. We usually get together every year and celebrate all our birthdays. Distance keeps us from visiting, so we have a big day, this year five days to enjoy. He Choose You!

3. All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ. 4. Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes.

There should never be any doubts that our Heavenly Father loves us! Even if there are times when we do not "feel" His presence. Because my sweet sister, there will be times when we do not "feel" Him. It is then we will be walking in faith, focused on Him and His Word. As you read this scripture please note He choose us, you and me, before He created the world. He had us on His heart long before we were even born. He prepared a way for us to become his daughters, truly loving us. In Christ we are perfect, that word and thought throws me just a bit, I have never been anywhere close to perfect and never will be, but in Him, you and I are perfect. I praise God this Sunday for each of you who are living your life for Christ, and being a blessing to your family and friends. I pray for you today that you will have a greater understanding of who you are in Christ! You are precious and you are special! You are wonderfully made!

Trust God!

Proverbs 3:5-12 (The Message)

5-12. Trust God from the bottom of your heart;
don't try to figure out everything on your own.
Listen for God's voice in everything you do, everywhere you go;
he's the one who will keep you on track.
Don't assume that you know it all.
Run to God! Run from evil!
Your body will glow with health,
your very bones will vibrate with life!
Honor God with everything you own;
give him the first and the best.
Your barns will burst,
your wine vats will brim over.
But don't, dear friend, resent God's discipline;
don't sulk under his loving correction.
It's the child he loves that God corrects;
a father's delight is behind all this.


I don't know about you, but I try to figure everything out! Usually I just get a headache! Why do I do that? I do trust God, don't I? I sure don't claim to know it all, but there are just some things we should know, right? Well, it is a lot of questions. But in this passage our Lord is lovingly instructing us as is His nature. He only wants the best, so what is the problem? He is really telling us here to put Him first and listen to His voice in everything. Run to Him with our problems and concerns and then honor Him with everything we are and have. This next part about discipline is the hardest, isn't it. But I can tell you after raising 4 daughters, if I hadn't disciplined them, as Jerry Clower used to say "just shoot up here amongst us, somebodies got to have some relief" (grin) then the Lord only knows what would have happened to them. But because I was rather strict, I have 4 daughters that have good jobs, are wonderful mothers and wives and are decent human beings. So I know this "discipline" thing is hard, but it is for our good and to tell you the truth, I am so thankful my Heavenly Father loves me enough to help me become the very best person I can be. So I am going to try really hard to not whine to much when these times come, because Sister, they will come. Enjoy your day and be blessed!
