Spring Finally!

A view from our front sunroom!

Psalm 145:13 (New Living Translation)

13 For your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom.
You rule throughout all generations.

The Lord always keeps his promises;
he is gracious in all he does.

What a beautiful week we have had! After a winter that seemed to last a very long time, Spring has finally come. It is such a blessing to look out and see "green" again. A time for new beginnings and new life. A time to remember all the promises that are ours because of Jesus Christ. I think sometimes those promises get buried beneath all the cares and problems of this world, and we have to dig for them. They have to be exposed for us to stand on them and claim them for ourselves. I also think there is always an excitement and anticipation when this wonderful season comes around. Being outdoors and just breathing fresh air gives us hope. I know our world is being turned upside down, and I can tell you in my heart there is uncertainty and fear sometimes. I know we are not supposed to have fear, I am just being honest here. I do have faith and trust God and I just have to continue to stand on His promises and take Him at His Word. I know another thing to, how in the world are folks handling all this if they don't know Him as their Savior? Our families and friends need lots of prayer, and we need to be firm in our convictions. I hope you have a blessed weekend and enjoy all those wonderful things you see when you look around you.

Psalm 95:1,2 (The Message)

1-2. Come, let's shout praises to God, raise the roof for the Rock who saved us!
Let's march into his presence singing praises,
lifting the rafters with our hymns!

I hope you had a productive day! Ours certainly was! How many of you have an ornamental pond? What a job! but its time again to clean now that spring is here. Hubby and I both worked a couple of hours until the liner was cleaned, (I did some praying when I plugged the pump in that it would work, and it did) water put back in and now it is working away. I just love it! I love to hear the water running, it is so peaceful. When the weather is good, that is where I head to of a morning with my coffee and Bible in hand. I am always amazed at how wonderful God is and what He does for us. It may not sound like a big deal to some folks, but to me it is the most peaceful time I spend during the day. It is a time to reflect on the mercies and goodness of God, a time to study His Word, and a time to do some much needed praying without having to be interrupted by a poodle or two or the phone ringing. This quiet time is the perfect way to start my day, so the pond is running, the flower beds are clean and I am just waiting on the warmer weather. I truly hope you have a blessed Saturday! Enjoy those simple but very profound times we sometimes take for granted.

Psalm 56:12,13 (The Message)

12-13. God, you did everything you promised,
and I'm thanking you with all my heart.
You pulled me from the brink of death,
my feet from the cliff-edge of doom.
Now I stroll at leisure with God
in the sunlit fields of life.

What a beautiful day! The sun came out and melted the snow away, (I am so thankful). This has been a long winter to say the least! But it does look like Spring is here! A time of rebirth, a time to celebrate the Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ! A time to be so thankful, because if Jesus had not rose from the dead, there would be no hope for us. There are many wrong teachings out there and we must not lose sight of this "precious blood" that was shed for us. We must stay focused and the only way we can know the truth is to study Gods Word. We should never take a mans view or his opinion about God! This is where many people get off track and are led astray. Satan was defeated and he knows it, but that doesn't stop him from trying to steal, kill and destroy everything we are and have. Yesterday when the snow was falling and was so pretty it was impossible to believe that everything just happened. Today when the sun was shining and the sky was so blue, once again I was aware of the beauty of what God has done for us. I believe we have some very unsettling times coming and we must be sure we know Gods Word. Then and only then will we be able to stand. I pray as you begin your week, you will be encouraged and strengthened that no matter what happens, God has a plan for you and me. Blessings, sweet friends!
